As you wine and dine in Wine Country, surprisingly you have many menu options to explore if you are “plant- curious”.
Eating plant-based, vegan, or vegetarian doesn’t have to be boring. Napa Valley’s fertile soil is home to world renowned grape vines and grows a bounty of flavorful fruits and veggies that appear on many menus. And better yet, you can pair a delicious bottle of local Sauvignon Blanc or Cabernet with your meal.
Here are a few of our favorite plant-based dishes in Napa.
House of Better, Dr. Wilkinson’s - Calistoga
With inspiration from the Southwest, you’ll find dynamic flavors on the menu at House of Better. The Dip, Salsa and Guacamole flights are the prefect mid-day snack. We especially love that you can opt to order veggies instead of chips for dipping. Try the Middle Eastern Guacamole with sumac, coriander, lemon zest and dukkah. The Herb and Maitake Salad bursts with earthy and bright flavors on the palate.
Harvest Table, Harvest Inn – St. Helena
Located on Highway 29 in St. Helena, Harvest Table is an under-the-radar restaurant and a great option for parties looking for both meat-centric dishes and veggie options. The restaurant highlights locally sourced ingredients and small-production Napa wines. Don’t miss out on the Fried Cauliflower with Tomato Apple Curry and Naan, the Mezze Plate, or the many stand-alone vegetable dishes on the menu.
Market St. Helena – St. Helena
Market is a local’s favorite on Main Street with a bustling and lively atmosphere. We enjoy their Veggie Burger that is loaded with green veggies like cucumbers and spinach. Many daily specials are offered, and the staff is very accommodating to any dietary needs. Another reason we love Market, is they do not charge a corkage fee. It’s a great spot to gather for happy hour or make a reservation for dinner after a day of wine tasting. Pop the cork on a recently purchased bottle of the day and relax.
Clif Family Bruschetteria Food Truck – St. Helena
The menu for our Clif Family Bruschetteria Food Truck is bursting at the seams with fresh produce grown on our 5-acre certified organic Clif Family Farm. The most popular plant-based dishes on the menu include the Firecracker Kale Salad, Brussel Sprouts and Falafel Bruschetta. Be on the lookout for seasonal farm fresh specials. And if you’d like to do a wine tasting, make a reservation for our Seasonal Tasting flight. Enjoy our favorite current wine releases enjoyed alongside seasonal food pairings from the Farm. You can opt to make your pairings plant-based when booking your reservation.
