Clif Family’s Farm to Truck Experience

The story of the Clif Family Bruschetteria Food Truck began in a small town called Bassano Del Grappa, located in northern Italy’s Veneto region. Situated near some of the best cycling in the Italian Alps, this has long been a favorite spot for Gary and Kit on their cycling adventures through Italy. It is also where they met Paolo and Nene, owners of a delicious restaurant called Samsara, where they serve fresh and seasonal bruschetta paired with the area’s best beers.
After a cycling trip to Italy, Gary and Kit returned to Napa Valley and the Clif Family Tasting Room, looking for a way to recreate this delicious experience at Clif Family. If bruschetta paired so well with cycling and beer in Italy, why not cycling and wine at Clif Family? Since we are always on the move, a food truck seemed like the perfect way to share this experience with our local community and visitors to the Tasting Room.
The Bruschetteria Food Truck menu was created by Executive Chef John McConnell, guided by the inspiration of Paolo and Nene and their ability to bring people together over a delicious and simple meal. Chef John has embraced their traditional and fresh approach to Italian cuisine, fueled by ingredients from our Clif Family certified organic Farm and other local and sustainable purveyors. The result is a seasonally inspired menu that includes everything from bruschetta to salads and innovative side dishes.
There are many ways to get a taste of Clif Family’s “farm-to-truck” culinary experience. You can join us for a Seasonal Wine Tasting flight pairing what’s fresh from the farm with our current release wine offerings. Or spend a bit more time with us and experience a full culinary experience with our Farm Feast tasting. Just interested in joining us for lunch? Grab a glass of Clif Family wine and a bruschetta or two and spend the afternoon on our patio. You may just be transported to northern Italy for an afternoon.
