Being good stewards of the land and promoting sustainability in all aspects of our business are integral to Clif Family. We believe taking care of our planet is part of our responsibility as a sustainable business.
This starts in the vineyard. With our estate vineyards we have complete control of our farming from start to finish. We are able to make choices on what we put into our soil and how we tend to our land. As such, our 15 acres of vineyards, vegetable gardens, olive orchards and fruit orchards are certified organic by CCOF (California Certified Organic Farmers). And our 300 acres of Napa County land are certified by Food Alliance and by Napa Green, a comprehensive certification program for vineyards in the Napa Valley.
We also seek out grower partners who have the same commitment to their land and sustainability as we do. We source Sauvignon Blanc and Grenache from Yountmill Vineyards in Yountville, Chardonnay from Matthiasson-Klein Vineyards in Napa, and Grenache from Venturi Vineyards in Mendocino County, all organic grape growers in the North Coast AVA. This year, we are beginning conversations with our long term growers partners to make the transition to more sustainable farming practices.
Biodiversity is also critical to being good stewards of the land. In addition to growing grapes on our estate properties, we tend to almost 400 olive trees, over 100 fruit trees, Blueberry and Blackberry patches, and vegetables gardens that supply our Bruschetteria Food Truck.
