A Sustainable Guide to Visiting Napa Valley
Blog Post By Meg BarkleyCelebrate our planet as you enjoy the beauty that Napa Valley has to offer. Clif Family has some ideas on how you can make your next visit to the Napa Valley eco-friendly with a few of our favorite sustainable tips.
A Green Itinerary
With sustainability in mind, begin your Napa journey my mapping out wineries to visit that are sustainability focused. Napa Green is a great resource to browse their directory of member wineries who are committed to environmental stewardship and climate action.
Walk this Way
Experience the valley by foot. Choose to plan your day tasting using Napa’s Main Streets as your home base. Downtown Napa, Yountville, St. Helena, and Calistoga all offer an array of small tasting salons that can be a relaxing way to slow down and meander between your tastings. We invite you to begin your day Clif Family while exploring St. Helena We have ample parking, and you can charge your electric car on our property too.
Support Local Farmers
When shopping for food or snacks in Napa choose to buy local by visiting our weekly Farmers’ Markets or making reservations at restaurants who support our local farmers. Add Clif Family to your itinerary to book a Seasonal Tasting wine and food tasting that celebrates in-season produce from our organic farm at our downtown Tasting Room in St. Helena.
Reusable is Welcomed!
Don’t be shy about bringing your own market bags or water bottles with you during your winery visits. All Tasting Rooms would welcome packing up your bottles to-go in your own tote. And to stay hydrated, bring your own water bottle to refill as needed versus using or purchasing bottled water for between tastings.
Give Back
Visit wineries and businesses who aspire to give back to the local or national community through philanthropic support. At Clif Family you can help us support American Forests. Join us in our pledge of supporting American Forests’ Tree Equity program in 2022. We offer a direction donation opportunity with every sale processed at the Clif Family Food Truck and Tasting Room of donating $1, $3 or $5 per transaction.
